The author creates strong characters set in a historical context that I really knew little about Post civil war in the South is described in a setting of recurrent seasonal attacks of Yellow Fever How citizens of Memphis and specifically the protagonist and his extended circle of family and friends is described with great insights by Mr Bargatze Great series
