It was with great anticipation that I began to read the third and final part of the Pha Yul trilogy, and after completing it a few days later, I m glad to report that it did not disappoint What I ve particularly enjoyed about this trilogy is that while each book was written in a familiar warm style, each also told a very different type of story Book 1 detailed the children learning about their powers and heritage while book 2 concentrated on the annual Gran sdur games a brutal Olympic style comp [...]

I m coming into this series late with the third installment But the author did a bang up job catching me up with the crucial details I missed in the early part of the trilogy so I would not be lost to what was going on The setup and the premise both reminded me of the movie, I am Number Four Here you have a similar idea of kids who are not from Earth, but the last of their kind from another world They too have to come to terms with super powers they had no idea they had as part of their coming o [...]

Within the seemingly random rambles of an ancient text, written in a forgotten dialect and protected, held in secret for the coming of the Phyag Ide, lies the key to the world s salvation Or so it is believed Sam, having discovered he is the prophesied saviour, works tirelessly, relying on the protection and insight of his circle as they race against the clock to decode the ancient tome, weed out the seemingly meaninglessness information from that he so desperately seeks But Lucas is watching, s [...]

This is the third book in the series centered on the colonizers of Earth from the planet Padim, and the quintet of Maya, Sam, Cassie, Sebastian and Ryan, descendants of said Padimites, united in their fight against evil, whose superhuman powers had been triggered by a lightning storm a year earlier In the Prologue, top scientist Theriene is writing a book as he knows his race will die out, and his book will be needed in the future This sets the context for the story which follows Mankind s futur [...]

I have been following this trilogy from the start and so was delighted to see the final instalment available This book starts straight after the end of the second book and brings a whole new set of challenges for the Five They have to decrypt a coded book to find all the pieces of the chakra, something that may or may not save the Padmites from the wrath of Lucas It was a page turner from page one and well written The story is excellently crafted to put you in the mindset of Sam and the other fi [...]

In book three of the trilogy, the five friends Sam, Ryan, Maya, Cassie, and Seb work together They re under incredible pressure, both time and space, to solve the mystery and find the scattered pieces The only thing I don t like is it s the last book in the series Jan Raymond does a great job at the end, wrapping up the story for us It s bittersweet, since I knew it was the last of their adventures The glossary of terms at the end is very helpful.
